A Welcome from the the Director of Student Services

As the Director of Student Services I would like to welcome you to The American School of Kuwait where we are dedicated to helping students reach their highest academic goals while maintaining a healthy physical and emotional life. I work along with the counselors and support personnel in developing and refining the services available to our students. Each school - elementary, middle school, and high school - has a full-time certified counselor. In elementary the students go to "Life Lab" each week where they meet with the counselor in a "hands-on" approach to guidance and personal issues. The counselor is available for personal appointments when needed. The middle school uses the first twenty minutes of class as "Team Time" in which the counselor provides materials to be used by the "Team Leader" that deal with specific issues of students at that age level. In high school the counselor is available for personal counseling issues as well as those pertaining to college.

We are constantly developing and revising our programs to ensure that we are serving the needs of our international and local students. Should you have any questions please feel free to contact me at
ness.rebecca@ask.edu.kw.

Thank you,

Becky Ness
Director of Student Services/College Counselor
