A Welcome from the
the KG - Grade 2 Elementary Guidance Counselor
Hello! My name is Emily Meadows and I am the ASK
school counselor for CDC-Grade 2.
My goal is to provide support and act as an advocate
for students in order to help children at ASK enjoy
a successful school year. I see all KG2-Grade 2
students on a rotational basis in Life Lab class,
where we explore a variety of topics such as
friendship, good choices, bullying, appreciating
diversity, study skills, and other issues designed
to cultivate age-appropriate life skills. I also
offer guidance groups to address anger issues,
stress management and more; individual counseling;
and parent consultation and assistance. Finally, I
run a New Students Lunch Group at the beginning of
the year, and co-coordinate the Welcome Team to help
incoming students adjust to ASK at any point when
they may join our school community.

to stop by with questions or concerns.
