A Welcome from the Grade 7 Coordinator
 Welcome to Grade 7.
We are looking forward to a challenging and exciting
school year. Now that children are accustomed to
being middle-school students, we, as teachers, are
going to take the next step. This will include
challenging them to develop a well rounded skill-set
that includes organization, time management and the
ability to cooperate in a diverse, multi-ethnic
environment.
We will develop students to become critical thinkers
as an emphasis will be placed on their ability to
conceptualize and understand at a broader and deeper
level.
Finally, we as a 7th grade unit have decided on some
core values that will remain a constant focus
throughout the school year. Woven into the framework
of our core classes will be emphasis on
accountability, responsibility and respect as well
as other values consistent with the pedagogy of
character education.
We value parental input as it is our fundamental
belief that the foundation of every child’s
education should include: parent, student, and
teacher.
