Student Admission Policy
If a student is interested in attending ASK, forms
need to be obtained from the secretary responsible
for admission documentation located in room 103.
After submitting the necessary documentation, the
folders are sent to the relevant school. Students
are then given the next testing date available.
Notification of the decision for admittance will be
given within one week of the testing date. Students
who are accepted into the CDC, Kindergarten I and II
classes are accepted provisionally. If there is
insufficient progress at the end of first grade,
then a recommendation to the administration should
be given from which a decision to accept or deny
permission to re-enroll.
Students required to repeat a grade level will not
be re-enrolled if they do not successfully complete
the grade repeated.
Age Requirements:
• A pupil must be 3 years of age by December 31 to
be admitted to CDC.
• A pupil must be 4 years of age by December 31 to
be admitted to Kindergarten I.
• A pupil must be 5 years of age by December 31 to
be admitted to Kindergarten II.
• A pupil must be 6 years of age by December 31 to
be admitted to Grade 1.
No student will be admitted after his or her 20th
birthday. A child may be placed provisionally
in Grade 1 on the opening of school in September
even though he has not attended Kindergarten,
provided that the child passes an English
proficiency test and attains his sixth birthday by
the close of the calendar year and meets the
appropriate age requirement.
Within one (1) month of enrollment it will be
decided on the basis of readiness, maturity, and
social adjustment whether the child may continue in
Grade 1 or be transferred to Kindergarten. This
decision is made by the elementary principal.
Records needed before testing:
1. Birth certificate
2. Copy of passport for father and child
3. Previous school records
