Academic Bowl Question Source
All PRISTINE QUESTIONS should be ordered early in
the fall from the following U.S. company:
Academic Hallmarks
PO Box 998
Durango, CO 81302
U.S.A.
Fax: (970) 247-0997
E-Mail: academic hallmarks or pristine@greatauk.com
Web Page:http://www.greatauk.com/
The host school should check the web page for
updated information on prices and ordering
information. Academic Hallmarks will provide
"pristine questions" that have not been used before
by any school in the area. It is very important that
the host school orders PRISTINE QUESTIONS and not
CUSTOM COMPETITION QUESTIONS. Questions can be
ordered online and paid with a credit card and the
questions will be sent as an email attachment in
what ever format requested.
Adequate questions need to be ordered so during the
games sixty different questions can be used during
each round which may include a tie run off. Example:
If 16 teams are participating, then there would be
15 separate rounds during the round robin and 4
rounds during the semi-finals, consolation round and
championship round for a total of 19 rounds or 1140
questions.
Each set ordered consists of 260 short-answer
questions addressing American history, world
history, government, recent events, geography,
literature, English, math, physical science,
biology, earth science, health, economics, law, art,
and music. When ordering request the company to NOT
include many American history/government questions
and for the Current Events section, request that the
questions cover the entire world, and not mainly the
USA.
Practice Questions Prior to the Games
Practice questions from previous year's U.S. and
international tournaments can be ordered from the
same company.
