It is known that the American school of Kuwait has worked hard to reach the level of being one of the best schools in Kuwait. However, it is clear that it could not have accomplished this task without the support of the American Embassy, with guidance, co-operation, and support from the American Embassy, ASK was able to rise up successfully.

The American Embassy plays an important role in ASK. In has participated in the development of ASK from the very first day that it opened until today. It is going to continue playing an important role in the near future. Ambassador James Larocco believes that the future of ASK will be filled with prosperity and even more improvement. He states, "ASK is approaching into a new millennium, we are looking at an ASK that more globally oriented. It will be a school which will advance itself in technology."

"I believe that this is a goal which is shared by all the administrators and individuals in high positions. We are looking at a school which challenges students in the upcoming century. Hopefully, facilities will be provided in order for the students to meet these challenges." ASK is looking forward to achieving greater accomplishments in the near future. With the continuation of the support of the American Embassy ASK will attain those accomplishments successfully.

With the relationship ASK and the American Embassy hold, the American Embassy has constantly participated in the developments of ASK. The Ambassador mentioned some specific examples, in which the Embassy has participated in the development of ASK: He states, there are individuals of the American Embassy who are on the Advisory Board. They evaluate programs and they work co-operatively so that new ideas and developments can be introduced, to the students, Security officers play a key role in ensuring that the safety of the students is brought out. There are many more, but overall, this is all done for the interest of the students. There is a strong degree of co-operation and will for the school to be successful."

When describing the relationship ASK holds with the American Embassy he states, "I believe that ASK and the American Embassy have a special relationship, in the sense we have a commitment and interest in the welfare of the school and students. We do everything we can to strengthen the school. ASK ranks number one."

"It has excelled in providing good quality education and providing excellent preparation for university. Two specific things for university are: One, the English language. It is truly amazing the way students who have never lived in the U.S. have such an ability to handle the English language without any difficulty. Secondly, the tolerance of cultures. This is very important in the modern global world. It is truly an advantage to understand people and become friends with those who are different than you in culture, religion and nationality. This is a critical value in order for a young person to be a leader in the 20th century."

"Overall, I believe that ASK has done a wonderful job in making each student a global individual." The relationship, the developments, and accomplishments have all helped make ASK the school it is today.

The American School of Kuwait shares a special relationship with the American Embassy. Both are working hard and both are dedicated in bringing out the best for the young children who are going to lead this world in this new millennium.
